Thanks to its central love triangle, Scandal has become a reliable source of steamy love scenes but Scott Foley has some behind-the-scenes scoop that, unfortunately, will be a real mood killer for Olake shippers.Foley, who plays Olivia Pope's (Kerry Washington) sometime lover Jake Ballard, told PEOPLE at The Paley Center for Media Scandal panel on Thursday that filming s*x scenes with Washington, 38, during season 3 was "delicate" to say the least.
"One of the craziest things [while filming] was trying to have a s*x scene when Kerry was seven months pregnant," said Foley, 42.
"The director, this fantastic French director, Jeannot [Szwarc], kept saying, 'Just get on top of her, and I'm going to shoot it,' " said the actor.
"And I was like, 'No, no, no, I can't she's got a baby [in there]!'"
"The maneuvering was delicate, to say the least," admitted Foley. In the end, though, the costars figured out the tricky situation, and fans were none the wiser until now.
