A police officer has wished his mum a Happy Mothers Day by sharing a touching story about her.
Sergeant Colin Taylor revealed he had recently spent a day on the beat in the Isles of Scilly with his mum.
This was after she had constantly told him to be careful when working over the past 20 years.
Mothers Day: 15 reasons we should make mums feel specialBe careful out there. Dont get into any trouble, she told Sgt Taylor, according to his Facebook post.
He responded by saying he was a policeman and it was his job to find trouble.
She apparently soon realised nothing was likely to happen to her son on patrol so turned her attentions to the way he was dressed.
You look cold. Are you warm enough? she asked him.
Sgt Taylor wished her a Happy Mothers Day on the official Isles of Scilly Police Facebook page.
He added: Last week was the anniversary of 101 years of Women in Policing. I submit you have always been there in one form or another, thankfully.
