Japan earthquake & Tsunami 2011 - Shocking video - missing 18000 people
I"ve proposed a plan to put Alaska on a sustainable path through further spending cuts, modest tax increases, and use of a fixed portion of our permanent fund earnings to support public services like educating our children, plowing our roads and safeguarding our communities.
This plan will get us off the boom-and-bust cycle that tends to plague oil-dependent economies. It puts government on an allowance. It enables us to continue to grow our savings. It allows us to pay for essential services like education and public safety, and to invest in our economy.
None of the pieces of my proposal are politically popular. That"s OK. As I told my fellow Alaskans in my recent State of the State speech, I did not run for governor to keep the job, I ran for governor to do the job. As governor, I will always put Alaskans" interests above my own.
Fresh off his firstGrammy win for best dance recording, Justin Bieberperformed his No. 1 hit single "Love Yourself" before joining forces withSkrillex and Diplofor a show-stopping renditionof"Where Are U Now"at the 2016 Grammy Awards.
Bieber took the venue"s circular center stage solo to play an acoustic version of the Purpose cut, drawing cheers as his voice strained with emotion during the song"s chorus. As the last notes dissipated, the singer tossed aside the guitar and bounded to the main stage to join his Jack U cohorts.
2016 Grammys: Our Complete Coverage
The dynamic live performance featured Skrillexshredding on guitar and Diplo playingkeyboard and pounding away on big band drums, flanked by a live drummer and onstage orchestrals.
While some previous dance performances have fallen flat intelevised award shows, there was nothing stilted about the energetic ensemble"s stage show -- which mayhave also succeeded in challenging the assumptions of those whodon"t associate electronic music with traditional musicianship.
"Diplo and Skrillex everybody!" Bieber yelled before embracing his band mates at the song"s conclusion.

Summer vacation is coming to an end. At least for Dipper and Mabel Pines.

In advance of the finale, Hero Complex readers are getting an exclusive look at a behind-the-scenes "Gravity Falls" featurette with show creator Alex Hirsch, Jason Ritter (voice of Dipper) and Kristen Schaal (voice of Mabel) discussing the series and the last episode.
"I think it"s satisfying and exciting and everything that the last two seasons have been building up towards is there," says Schaal on the finale.
"With the finale episode of "Gravity Falls" our job as storytellers is to finish all the things we"ve started," says Hirsch. "I do feel like this finale shows how we always imagined our characters to reach their conclusion so hopefully fans feel the same way." Watch the full featurette above.
Created by Hirsch, "Gravity Falls" premiered in June 2012 and since then fans have watched Dipper and Mabel face gnomes, ghosts, a possessive girlfriend sim, the Love G*d and even tiny golf ball-like humanoids (called "Lilliputtians" -- get it?) at the local mini-golf course with the aid of the mysterious journal. They"ve also finally learned the identity of "the Author" of said journal, and discovered that their Grunkle Stan was not exactly what he seemed.
For those of you who are looking to catch up on "Gravity Falls" before the last episode, you"re in luck. Disney XD is kicking off a 68-hour marathon of the show starting Friday.

Little Big Town - Pain Killer by Calvin Gilbert 14h ago
Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town dominated the country categories at Monday nights (Feb. 15) Grammy Awards in Los Angeles with Stapleton winning best country album honors for Traveller and best country solo performance for the title track from the breakthrough project.
Little Big Town won the best country duo/group performance category for Girl Crush. The controversial hit also resulted in a best country song win for songwriters Hillary Lindsey, Lori McKenna and Liz Rose.
Stapleton was also nominated for all-genre album of the year a trophy Taylor Swift accepted for 1989. Girl Crush was also nominated for all-genre song of the year, but the honor went to songwriters Ed Sheeran and Amy Wadge for Sheerans hit, Thinking Out Loud.
Americana favorite Jason Isbells 24 Frames was named best American roots song, and the singer-songwriters Something More Than Free won for best Americana album.
Other country-related winners included the SteelDrivers The Muscle Shoals Recordings (best bluegrass album). Glen Campbell: Ill Be Me, a concert documentary about the Country Music Hall of Fame members final tour after being diagnosed with Alzheimers disease, was named best compilation soundtrack for visual media.
In accepting his best country album award he shares with producer Dave Cobb, Stapleton joked, Id like to thank Taylor Swift for glitter-bombing me before I got up here for this. Referring to his Grammys, he added, This is something that you never ever, ever dream of, so Im super grateful for it.
In addition to his two trophies, Stapleton and also swapped vocals and guitar riffs with Gary Clark Jr. and Bonnie Raitt in a moving tribute to the late B.B. King. With Stapleton and Clark kicking off one of Kings signature songs, The Thrill Is Gone, with stinging single-note guitar work, Raitts slide guitar provided an added depth to the performance.
In performing Girl Crush to the Grammy audience, Little Big Town offered a different arrangement, opting for a string section instead of the R&B-influenced groove of the original recording.
Sam Hunt and Carrie Underwood provided one of the early highlights of the show with their duet on two of their hits Hunts Take Your Time and Underwoods Heartbeat.
While the collaboration was a prime example of what mainstream country music sounds like in 2016, Stapleton being relegated to the B.B. King tribute and Isbell not getting a performance slot at all meant that the Grammy telecast lacked any real representation of traditional country.
On the other hand, the tribute to the late Glenn Frey came about as close as anything to capturing the spirit of traditional country as Eagles members Don Henley, Timothy B. Schmit and Joe Walsh, former member Bernie Leadon and longtime friend Jackson Browne performed the bands classic Take It Easy. It wasnt the Eagles strongest performance of the song, but its worth mentioning that Frey died less than a month ago. Aside from missing his lead vocal, the musicians seemed to be feeling the bigger loss of their friend. It had to have been one of the most emotionally-challenging performance of their lives.
Luke Bryan performed Penny Lover during a tribute to 2016 MusiCares Person of the Year Lionel Richie. Others participating in the tribute were John Legend (Easy), Demi Lovato (Hello), Meghan Trainor (You Are) and Tyrese (Brick House). Richie was brought to the stage to join the group for All Night Long (All Night).
Heres a list of winners in the country, Americana and other roots music categories:

Comcast"s "Embarrasing" Customer Service Phone Call
Google Fiber recently went live in apartments and condos in Atlanta, making it the fourth metro area to get Google"s gigabit Internet service.Perhaps not coincidentally,Reddit user TheBen91 yesterday posted the above photo of a mailing from Comcast, in whichthe nation"s largest cable company tries to convince customers that it offers a better deal than Google Fiber.
"So I got this in the mail today. I think someone is scared of Fiber coming to Atlanta," the user wrote.
Comcast"s mailing touts"The fastest in-home Wi-Fi," "9X more FREE TV shows and movies On Demand," "DVR recordings to go," and the "X1 voice remote" as features that Google Fiber doesn"toffer. Notably absent from the Comcast/Google Fiber comparison are prices and data caps. Google Fiber offers gigabit downloads and uploads for $70 a month, without any monthly data caps. "Basic Internet" of 100Mbps costs $50 for Google customers in Atlanta.
Atlanta, meanwhile, is one of the cities where Comcast is enforcing a monthly data capon cable Internet with overage charges. The cap is 300GB a month with an option to pay$35 extra for unlimited data.
Comcast does provide a 2Gbps fiber service in Atlanta, but the standard price is $300 a month with $1,000 in startup fees (and no data cap). Atlanta is also slated to get Comcast"s gigabit cable service, which would provide gigabit download speeds and slower uploads, with prices not yet announced. There"s also no word yet on whether the standard data caps will apply to the gigabit cable service.
Reddit users mocked Comcast"s mailing. While Comcast says the Wi-Fi routerit provides is faster than Google"s, Redditors pointed out that they can buy third-party routers withfaster speeds. Google tells customersthat full gigabit speeds are only available with a wired connection to the Google Network box.
Voice control isn"t exclusive to Comcast, cadika_orade wrote, saying,"I don"t have a voice remote with my Xfinity, but I already have voice control on my Android device. Unless you get really, really technical, it"s all lies or at least intentionally deceptive advertising."
The URL on the Comcast mailing redirects to a page with a longer comparisonof Xfinity and Google Fiber. This page says Comcast has the "fastest available Internet speeds" in reference to that $300-a-month 2Gbps service. Comcast even tries to make the argument that its customer service is better than Google"s, pointing out that Comcast offers "guaranteed 2 hour appointment windows" while Google does not.
Comcast"s customer service problems arewell documented, though, with Comcast admitting it has a long way to go to fix its customer service. Even the two-hour appointment window boast may be misguided, as Google says it aims to "arrive promptly at the start of your appointment" and says its installers arrive on time 96 percent of the time.
Besides Atlanta, Google Fiber is live in Kansas City, Kansas and Missouri; Provo, Utah; and Austin, Texas, with tentative plans to build in an additional 16 metro areas.
